Why We Built This Site
New Mexico provides several official paths to record information, but no single portal holds every part of a De Baca County history. The Sheriff's Office is the local source for its incident, arrest, booking, and warrant-related records. New Mexico District Court, De Baca County Magistrate Court, and Fort Sumner Municipal Court maintain the charges, docket entries, judgments, and dispositions within their jurisdiction. NMDPS LERB keeps the fingerprint-supported state repository, while NMCD and the New Mexico DPS Sex Offender Registry maintain separate custody, supervision, and registration information. This site brings together the verified contacts, fees, official search tools, and request steps for those offices.
What You Will Find Here
- Official check steps: how a person requests their own New Mexico arrest record from NMDPS LERB and when fingerprints may be needed
- Local office details: how to reach the De Baca County Sheriff's Office and the District, Magistrate, and Municipal Court counters in Fort Sumner
- Court record guidance: how to search and understand De Baca County criminal court case records
- Expungement routes: where New Mexico forms are found and where a qualifying De Baca County petition begins
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, not part of a New Mexico court, law enforcement office, or state agency. Its role is limited:
- We do not retrieve criminal records or perform official background checks
- We cannot submit IPRA requests, expungement petitions, or other filings for a visitor
- We do not certify court documents, criminal histories, or agency records
- We cannot interpret a charge, warrant, disposition, or expungement rule as legal advice
- We cannot promise that an agency's hours, fee, address, or procedure has not changed
An official record must come from the office that maintains it, such as the Sheriff, the filing court, or NMDPS LERB. This site can identify that office but cannot issue the document.
Search Partners
Outside providers power search boxes that appear on some pages. Each provider controls its service, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral payment that supports free access to this resource. We neither set the provider's charges nor determine which records its system returns.
